How much does an urn cost?
Pricing depends on the complexity of the personalized inlays, but will generally be between USD 2500 and USD 4000.
What types of items can be used as personalized inlays?
Any small wooden items can be used. Examples include walking sticks/canes, picture frame, tool handle, bedside table (drawer).
Can a personalized inlay be made out of a branch from a live or recently felled tree?
No. Wet wood is very unstable and moves a lot as it dries. Any inlay made of wet wood would look great at the time of delivery, but 12-24 months later would be twisted and misshapen, producing unsightly gaps and possibly even causing cracks and splits in the urn.
Can I order a standard urn, with no personalization?
Yes. This has a fixed cost of USD 2000.
How long does delivery take?
Urn completion will usually be 3-4 weeks after receipt of a 20% deposit. Delivery will be immediately following receipt of the balance of payment (80%).
What payment methods do you accept?
Accepted payment types include Venmo, Zelle and Check
What wood species do you use?
The body of the urn is made from hardwoods such as Ash, Cherry, Elm, Locust, Mahogany, Maple, Mesquite, Oak or Walnut.
The cap and base are hardwoods such as Wenge (very dark brown), Purpleheart (purple) or Padouk (orange/red).
How big is the urn?
The urn is volume is a little over 200 cubic inches (3.2 liters), which is the standard adult urn size. The urn is 12 ½ inches (320mm) high, and 7 inches (180mm) wide at the widest part.
How much does the urn weigh?
The empty weight is 4lbs (1.8kg)
How are ashes added/removed from the urn?
The base of the urn is separate removable piece, held on by two small wood screws
Do you have different urn sizes?
Yes. Urns are available in 4 standard sizes: Pet, Child, Adult and Adult Couple.
